The South Park Episode About Tom's Rhinoplasty

If you are a fan of South Park (and there are some crazy, diehard fans of the show out there), more likely than not you are familiar with every episode ever played. You know every character and what they are about. You can sing the theme song to South Park in 4 different languages and you can do South Park impressions with the best of them. While you may have many episodes in your head that could be labeled your favorite, no doubt one of them includes the episode of Tom’s Rhinoplasty. This episode is one for the history books. Just thinking about it brings a smile to my face…

Tom Garrison decides that it is time to improve his looks (he was so handsome to begin with!). Because he can’t work for a while due to his surgery, he must hire a substitute to teach for him. The substitute teacher’s name is Ms. Ellen and all of the boys in the class take a sudden liking to her. That is especially true for Stan, which of course, makes Wendy a very jealous person (not a good combination, right?). After Tom’s surgery, where he comes out looking oddly like David Hasselhoff, he realizes what a success it was and decides to not go back to teaching, but rather find his dream job. That bodes well for the classroom because they are all so infatuated with Ms. Ellen (accept, of course Wendy…go figure).

Meanwhile, back in the classroom, every boy is trying to make their move on Ms. Ellen. Wendy, ever the jealous (and lady-like) one tells Ms. Ellen not to “beep” with her. Like I said, very lady-like. Sweet little Chef believes that the way into Ms. Ellen’s heart is through his windpipes and he proceeds to belt out a tune for her, hoping to win her over. When the song attempt fails, Chef tries to convince everyone (most likely his broken heart) that Ms. Ellen must be a lesbian. When the boys in the class catch on that Ms. Ellen is a “lesbian”, they all try to become lesbians too, in order to get closer to her…yes, we understand this is an impossibility. Tom’s Rhinoplasty South Park episode is one for the history books. Yes, this show is incredibly vulgar and offensive, but, with the right sense of humor, it sure is stinkin’ funny too!
